About the Studio

A home shaped by the way you live.

Studioayse is a residential interior design studio based in the San Francisco Bay Area, founded by Ayse Kozaci.

The studio was created from a deeply personal belief: that a home quietly shapes how people feel, relate to one another, and move through their lives. At its best, design is an act of care — thoughtful, attentive, and rooted in lived experience.

Ayse approaches each project with close attention to the people who will inhabit the space. She considers how people gather, how mornings unfold, where calm is needed, and where life naturally flows. Each home is shaped to feel intuitive, grounded, and deeply personal.

Her work is informed by a background in both art and design, along with an approach guided by close observation, sensitivity, and long-term well-being. This foundation brings a strong sense of composition, material awareness, and balance — always in service of how a home is experienced over time.

Her design sensibility was shaped in Istanbul as a designer began in Istanbul — a city where architecture, craft, and daily life are inseparable — and continued through studies in interior architecture and visual arts in the Bay Area. That background, alongside twenty years of practice, shapes an approach grounded equally in proportion and in lived experience.

Studioayse accepts a select number of full-scope projects each year, allowing each home the sustained attention it deserves. Biophilic design is central to this practice — the belief that a home's materials, light, and spatial organization have a direct effect on how people feel within it, day after day.
