Ayse Kozaci, residential interior designer, San Francisco Bay Area

About the Studio

A home shaped by the way you live.

Studioayse is a residential interior design studio in the San Francisco Bay Area, founded by Ayse Kozaci.

The studio was created from a deeply personal belief: that a home quietly shapes the texture of daily life — how people relate to one another, where they find ease, and how they move through their days. At its best, design is an act of care — thoughtful, attentive, and rooted in close attention to how people actually live.

In practice this means beginning with observation — with how a morning unfolds in this house, where people naturally gather, and where they need to be alone. What does the light do at 6pm? These questions shape every spatial and material decision that follows.

Growing up in Istanbul — a city of art and architecture where two continents meet — and living in the Bay Area for over two decades, both places live in her work. The layered history of one, the natural beauty and cultural diversity of the other. The people she works with come from every part of the world, each with their own relationship to home and how a space should feel. That individuality is something Studioayse is built to honor.

Ayse holds degrees in interior architecture and visual arts, and brings over 20 years of design experience to each project — a foundation that supports both the creative and technical demands of full-scope residential work.

Studioayse accepts a select number of projects each year. Each home receives sustained, personal attention from first conversation to completed space.

  • "Ayse took time to understand our design style, our functional needs, our time constraints — and ran with the project. We didn't have to step out of our home."

    —Homeowner, Ruby Hill

  • "The project was well managed and executed ahead of schedule — even when supplier issues came up, she noticed them herself and handled everything gracefully."

    —Homeowner, San Jose

  • "Ayse listened to what we wanted and gave us what we needed — and even after the job was done she still checked in to see how everything was going."

    —Homeowner, Orinda

  • "Being able to make decisions in a large project is key to execution — and she brought an invaluable skill that is hard to appreciate or even identify at first when you are looking for a designer."

    —Homeowner, Pleasanton

  • "Ayse helped me see my space differently and make choices I feel really good about."

    —Homeowner, Walnut Creek
